Adjectives (形容詞 / けいようし) in Japanese

There are two main types of adjectives: い-adjectives and な-adjectives.
For example, atsui (hot) and omoshiroi (interesting) are い-adjectives, while kirei (clean/beautiful) and shizuka (quiet) are な-adjectives.
Once you get used to how they work, adjectives make your Japanese sound much more natural and expressive.

100 な-adjectives

1. きれい（な） – kirei – beautiful, clean
   きれいな はな ですね。
   → That flower is beautiful.
